FELLOWSHIPS

The Hangar Fellowship Program offers you the opportunity to work alongside professional artists and managers at the forefront of an award-winning regional not-for-profit theatre in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York.

Hangar Fellowships are for individuals who desire a challenging practical experience in the real world, and for those who are willing to devote their full energies to the fellowship. Hours and duties vary with different departmental assignments. After an initial orientation period, all Hangar fellows can expect that they will assume essential and meaningful responsibilities under the direct supervision of a Department Head.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Designed for college students, recent graduates and emerging professionals. Must be 18 years of age to apply.
  • Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
  • Production Fellowships are full time.

A modest stipend and/or housing is available for positions. Stipend and housing benefits for fellowship positions are determined for each position within each department, and will be addressed during the interview process.

HANGAR FELLOWS RECEIVE

  • Complimentary tickets to all Hangar productions during the season you are with us, and the chance to take advantage of free or discounted tickets to other Ithaca theaters through industry courtesy exchanges.
  • Invites to Hangar opening night post-show receptions.
  • College credit, as arranged with your individual college or university.
