Travis Hyde Properties has been providing housing, office, and retail space in Ithaca and Binghamton since 1977. We pride ourselves on being the rental company of choice for the academic and professional communities in the Ithaca region. Over it's 48-year history, Travis Hyde Properties has been a supporter of the arts and specifically the theatre institutions in Ithaca. For decades, Travis Hyde Properties has sponsored shows at the Hangar, the Kitchen, and the State theatres. In 2016, Travis Hyde Properties was honored with a special Philanthropic Angel award from the Hangar, citing the company's commitment to sponsoring Mainstage shows and in-kind support offering office, rehearsal, and housing spaces as needed over the years. This year, Travis Hyde is one of the Hangar's partners in hospitality, making it possible for the Hangar to house all of the out of town company members who come to Ithaca for the summer.


Fun fact: In 1975, for the very first Mainstage season at the Hangar, our founder Mack Travis took Frost Travis, then 7, and Elsa Hyde, then 10, to see Man of La Mancha. Fun fact 2: in 2019, Mack's grandson Knox Travis played "Young Charlie" in the Mainstage production of Kinky Boots.
