Playing Peter Pan by Christopher Parks June 21-23

J.M. Barrie’s classic tale of the boy who never grows up and the magical journey he creates for the Darling family children. Peter’s Neverland is a world bursting with adventure at every turn, if not the comforts of home and family. Adapted by the imaginative Christopher Parks, playwright of previous KIDDSTUFF plays Aesop’s Fables and Journey to Oz.

The Amazing Tale of the Backyard Overnight by Rachel Lampert July 5-7

*World Premiere* A young group of friends make a pact to brave all hours of the night, against all odds, in the dangerous landscape of…their own backyard! Through interactive storytelling, you’ll be on the edge of your seat – and maybe even part of the action – as they creatively quest their way toward dawn.

The Transition of Doodle Pequeño by Gabriel Jason Dean July 12-14

It’s Halloween in Southern California, the Santa Ana winds blow fiercely, and nothing is as it seems. Doodle Pequeño is new to town and has only his imaginary goat Valencia to keep him company until there is an unexpected knock on the door. In this magic-filled, award winning play for all ages, two boys become fast friends while learning that difference is to be celebrated.

Snow White by Marjorie Sokoloff July 26-28

The Witch was the fairest one of all first, and she will not be silenced any longer! This updated version of the classic story unveils the villain’s perspective, from her tragic childhood to her quest for revenge. So how did the story really go? Join all seven quirky dwarves, a tongue-tied prince, a sassy mirror, a dancing chicken, and of course Snow White, in a tale about beauty, friendship, and happily-ever-afters with a twist.

Seussical Jr by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty* August 9-11

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, and a trial, ultimately the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community emerge triumphant!
