Keep the Hangar Soaring High!
We are grateful to have wrapped up an incredible 2022 Summer Season!
Our 48th year included 5 Mainstage productions, 3 KIDDSTUFF Theatre for Young Audiences shows, 3 Hangar Wedge FutureNow theatre workshops, and 21 week-long sessions of the Hangar’s Next Generation School of Theatre. We celebrated sold-out performances of buzz-worthy shows, intergenerational audiences filled with joy and delight, and authentic human stories from around the world–all right here in our collective backyard.
Audiences and critics alike shared rave reviews:

- “It was truly amazing!! the best show I have ever seen at the Hangar – and I have seen many great performances there. We LOVED it!! The music and dancing were amazing, and the actors were phenomenal! so was the story itself. Outstanding!”
- “Phenomenal production – the cast is extraordinarily talented, the set was engaging and the actor musicians were magnetic! Keep it up – the diversity, the excellence and the vision.”

The Hangar has continued to offer a full roster of high-quality theatrical performances and educational programming through two and a half challenging years that included a pandemic, skyrocketing inflation, and rising costs related to staffing and housing, all while pursuing a better and more sustainable producing model in the interest of all of our stakeholders. We believe that access to the arts is an essential and urgent tool for strengthening community bonds, improving mental health, instigating important dialogues, and sparking joy.
We believe that the arts are needed now, more than ever.
