Academic Year Fellows

Full-Time Academic Year Fellowships:

2020-2021 Fellowship Opportunities

The Hangar Theatre Company’s academic year fellowship program, offers up to four (4) early career professionals the opportunity to work and learn alongside the year-round administrative and production staff of an award-winning regional not-for-profit theatre in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Within individual areas of interest (Artistic & Education, Arts Administration, Stage/Production Management, and Lighting Design/Electrics), fellows accepted into the program assist with an annual holiday production; numerous concerts produced in partnership with DSP Shows; additional Hangar Theatre Company artistic, development, and educational events; other community partner events; and the planning and preparation for the following summer season. Due to their varying nature, events provide fellows with as much variety as possible.  Some of the Fellowship Program goals are to offer aspiring theatre professionals experiential learning and insight into a career path, facilitate opportunities to make professional contacts, and equip them with marketable skills for jobs and graduate programs in theatre and not-for-profit management.

Please direct any production fellowship questions to Adam Zonder, Production Manager adam@hangartheatre.org.  Any administrative or artistic fellowship questions should be directed to Thena Gitlin, Marketing Director thena@hangartheatre.org.
