Thena was born in Ithaca, and has a long relationship with the Hangar.  She used to see shows, starting with KIDDSTUFF when she was young, ushered as a teenager, and also attended the Next Generation School of Theater for several summers.  She was in musicals throughout school, and has always been very passionate about the arts. She graduated in three years from the College at Brockport, SUNY, with a Bachelors in Psychology. She was the House Manager at the Tower Fine Arts Center in Brockport her senior year. Since graduating, Thena has held several management and marketing roles for local non-profits in Cortland and Ithaca. These include the Women’s Opportunity Center, the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex, Free Science Workshop, Primitive Pursuits, and most recently she served as the Executive Director of the Cultural Council of Cortland County. Thena enjoys the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and cuddling her cats, Leela and Tequila.
