The PROPS corps is the volunteer community vital to the Hangar Theatre. Come meet other local volunteers*, be a part of amazing theatrical and entertainment events, and join PROPS today!

– Gardening & facilities upkeep
– Special event planning and implementation
– Marketing distribution
– Ushering
*Students under 15 must volunteer with a guardian; 15+ may volunteer on their own.
What it means to be an usher at the Hangar Theatre:
Ushering is a high profile position and is perfect for upbeat, helpful individuals, especially those who enjoy making every experience a positive one. As an usher, you are our front line of exceptional customer service during each performance. Ushers provide welcome to any and all guests at the theatre, assist patrons with information and accessibility requirements, ensure smooth transitions by helping to seat the audience, and serve the House Manager with additional tasks as needed.
All new ushers will be required to attend an orientation meeting (date/time TBD each year). Orientation will provide information regarding emergency procedures, lobby protocols, dress code, etc.
As an usher, you’ll need to plan to be at the theatre 60 minutes before the scheduled show time.

Join the Board
Board members help shape the Hangar Theatre’s artistic, educational, and community missions. They will build a working knowledge of the Hangar Theatre and what is involved in creating live theatre and educational programming and be better able to advocate on behalf of the Hangar Theatre. The insights gained from active membership will inform the financial stewardship, policy development, and strategic directions of the Hangar Theatre. The Board also plays a significant role in supporting and facilitating the financial health of the organization through annual donations, and equally if not more important, advocacy and network efforts that impact development initiatives.
