Annual Fund

The Hangar Theatre’s Annual Fund helps to sustain our day-to-day operations and supports our productions, education programs, and facilities. Donations are vital to our success in achieving our mission to enrich, enlighten, educate and entertain.

We are asking for your support as we plan for a better, brighter, and more sustainable future. We believe that access to the arts is an essential and urgent tool for strengthening community bonds, improving mental health, instigating important dialogues, and sparking joy. We believe that the arts are needed now, more than ever.

Lisa Bushlow Education Fund

Providing strong education and training programs are central parts of our commitment to the local and national artistic communities. From Project 4: Artists in the Schools to our Lab Company, a donation to the Lisa Bushlow Education Fund helps support theatre arts education and professional training programs. Help us continue and grow our hallmark education and artist-training programs. Named in honor of longtime Executive Director and Hangar Theatre education advocate and pioneer, Lisa Bushlow.

Click here to learn more about the transformation of the Hangar Lab Company into the Hangar Lab Company Performance Fellowship program. The Lab has provided theatrical experiences and educational opportunities for hundreds of emerging artists since 1991, but up until 2022, had existed as a tuition-based program. This program has been reshaped into a compensated performance fellowship.

Pay-It-Forward Fund

Our pay-it-forward fund gives you the opportunity to pre-pay for the ticket of someone who would not otherwise have access to theatre. This fund allows the Hangar to provide free and low cost tickets for community partners and organizations. You can donate to this fund in any amount. A typical adult ticket is $50, and a typical KIDDSTUFF ticket is $10.

Ticket Donations

*The Hangar is not processing ticket donation requests at this time.*

The Hangar Theatre Company offers ticket vouchers to area non-profits for fundraising and other community events. In order for your organization to be considered for a donated item, you must comply with the following guidelines:

Donation requests should be received two weeks prior to the event and submitted via the Ticket Donation Form.

We can give only once to each organization within a calendar year. (Please note multiple events often benefit a single organization).

Your organization’s fundraising event must benefit a non-profit organization. You must enter your organization’s valid tax exempt ID number on the form in order for your request to be considered.

Donated tickets will be mailed or e-mailed.

Please indicate in the comment section of the form if you are requesting Mainstage or KIDDSTUFF vouchers. Two Mainstage vouchers will be provided, if not otherwise indicated. Vouchers are valid for any summer production for the year indicated and subject to availability.
