Resilience
Resilience
by Samite
August 8–9, 2026
Beautiful, powerful, and personal, Resilience is a solo show with music that combines the urgency of now with a timeless story of healing. Internationally recognized musician, humanitarian, and artist Samite tells the story of his life, from escaping the nightmare 1980s Uganda to learning to heal others with the power of music. It is an inspiring performance written and performed by Samite, a multi-instrumentalist and powerful storyteller.
Internationally recognized musician, humanitarian, and artist Samite shares his life story in this multi-media one-man play. He tells the story of his emergence from the nightmare of life under Amin and Milton Obote to being a healer through the power of music.
Samite often includes a story or two in his concerts, but now he has turned his entire show inside out and the result is raw and bracing. Both performances of this show include an extended post-performance Q&A for authentic audience connection.
“Blending beautiful traditional African music with stories of hope and tolerance… Music definitely heals – A must see!” – Karen Wacks, Berklee College of Music
