Hangar Theatre COVID-19 Safety Plan for Indoor Events
We are thrilled to welcome patrons back to the Hangar Theatre’s indoor performances! Our community’s health and well being is our top priority. To ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience during your visit, we have established the following COVID Safety Plan (revised April 26, 2022), in effect until 5/31/2022. Please continue to check this page for updates.
Effective immediately: Audience members ages 5 and older must be fully vaccinated, show proof of vaccination and valid government ID. Masks are strongly encouraged inside the lobby, restrooms, and theatre space. Proof of vaccination will be required to enter the building and attend performances. Your proof of vaccination must show it has been at least 14 days after having completed a vaccine series. At this time, results from a negative COVID test will NOT be accepted for entry for individuals (over the age of five).
Acceptable forms of Proof of Vaccination:
- Original CDC or Pharmacy paper copy
- NY State Excelsior Pass
- Clear App
- Photocopy or photo on your phone
Children under the age of 5: May attend the indoor performances if they provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 48 hours prior to when doors open. Rapid tests and other antigen tests will NOT be accepted. For information about PCR tests available in Tompkins County, visit the Tompkins County Health Department website.
Additionally, Hangar Theatre will continue to follow safety procedures already in place:
- CDC approved masks are strongly encouraged. [Your Guide To Masks]
- NEW: Concessions will be sold, however, food and drink may be consumed only in designated areas (in the roped lobby corner or while seated in the theatre).
- All tickets are for assigned seating.
- Staff and signage will direct patrons on occupancy limits in restrooms.
- The lobby of the theatre will close promptly after the show.
- Masks and hand sanitizer will be available on site.
- If you are experiencing COVID symptoms on the day of your scheduled performance, please notify the box office and stay home.
If you have any questions about this policy, please contact info@hangartheatre.org
We will continue to update this policy to reflect current local, state, and federal guidelines.
Thank you for your continued understanding and support as we work together to create art that entertains and inspires!
COVID Safety FAQ’S:
-
Who is considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19?
Being fully vaccinated means that you have finished your vaccine, whether that’s one dose or two, and two weeks have passed. You do need two weeks for your immune system to mount its full response. You are then considered fully immunized.
