Little Women

August 8 - 17

Little Women

Adapted by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott

Directed by: Linsay Firman

August 8-17

Little Women is a fresh new take on the novel by Louisa May Alcott by actress and playwright Kate Hamill. Raised in Lansing, NY, and an alumn of the Hangar’s Next Generation School of Theatre and Ithaca College, Hamill is carving a singular role in the national theatre scene by adapting 19th-century novels into lively and spirited stage productions (such as Hangar’s 2018 Pride and Prejudice). As the nation is torn by civil war, Jo March and her sisters wrestle with adolescence, growing up, and discovering who they are. How do you stay true to your family when all the world wants you to become is the perfect little woman?
