Coronavirus/ COVID-19

*UPDATED 3/30*

Recognizing the dramatic impact of the Covid-19 virus on the Hangar Theatre, a generous anonymous donor has stepped up to provide a special, time-sensitive match opportunity to the entire Hangar community.

Between now and April 17th, when you participate in this campaign to help the Hangar Theatre to survive this pandemic, your gift’s impact will be magnified, up to a total match of $30,000.  By making a special gift to the Hangar Theatre today, you will help to ensure that the show will, indeed, go on.

What gifts qualify?

  • If you’ve never given to the Hangar before, or haven’t since before 2019 – 100% of your gift will be matched!

  • If you give regularly to the Hangar, and have given since the beginning to 2019, any increase in your annual gift will be matched. For example, if your 2019 total giving was $100, and you increase the value of your 2020 giving to a total of $150 during this challenge, $50 will be matched!

How can you make a gift today?

To help minimize spread of the virus, we encourage online support, if possible. You can give online here. If you need to mail a check, please note “Covid -19 Match” in the memo line and send it to: PO Box 205 Ithaca, NY 14851. Have questions? Please email development@hangartheatre.org

An Announcement Regarding Upcoming Shows

With everyone’s safety in mind and following guidance from government officials, we have made the difficult decision to postpone all live events at the Hangar Theatre during the remainder of the month of March-May.

Ticket holders will be notified of rescheduled dates as they are confirmed, and tickets purchased will be honored for the new event dates.

As we adjust to the situation around us, Hangar staff remains optimistic about our summer 2020 season. We are moving forward with hiring and casting, and continuing with design meetings and season planning. We value art and community now more than ever, and hope you will joining us at virtual offerings and again in person this summer!
