SUMMARY:Lauren and the Good Souls: A Tribute to Joni Mitchell
DESCRIPTION:The Hangar Theatre Presents:\nLauren and the Good Souls: A Tribute to Joni Mitchell\nSunday\, November 30 @ 2pm\n  \nTickets: $30 in advance / $35 at the door \n  \nLauren and The Good Souls came together initially\, in tribute to the amazingly talented Joni Mitchell 9 years ago\, and have been doing this tribute every year since.  Every band member is a multi-instrumentalist\, making their ability to cover Joni’s expansive repertoire a reality. If you know Mitchell’s music\, you know the complexity\, beauty\, depth and evolution of her songwriting. From the intimate acoustic moments\, horn section swells\, tight harmonies and orchestral arrangements\, this 9 piece band can cover it all. The band’s love and admiration for Joni’s music\, and for each other\, will captivate and engage the audience\, making this show truly something special. The featured musical guest of the evening is Sue Tierney\, Ithaca native since 1986\, and founder/contributor to jonimitchell.com guitar and piano transcriptions. Sue was involved with the Ithaca Community School of Music and Art’s annual Joni Mitchell Tribute concerts from 2009 to 2019.  To more fully encompass Joni’s creative prowess\, HOUSE of ChoCLET will be creating live art on canvas while the band performs Joni’s hits and deep cuts. \n
